Join us for this 2-day workshop on Doing Business: ASEAN with Former World Bank Group & UN Senior Adviser Dr John Vong providing hands-on business knowledge on how to start your own company, win business deals & tackle issues relating to government regulations, legal compliance & human resource deployment.

ABOUT THE TRAINER

Dr. John Vong

Former Senior Adviser (World Bank Group and United Nations)
Former Professor, LKY School of Public Policy, National University Singapore; 
Independent Director of an ASEAN Bank 


Dr John Vong has 30 years of ASEAN experience. He started with HSBC Group operating in China, Singapore, Malaysia and Brunei. He then switched to a career in emerging markets working with Asian Development Bank, United Nations, and the World Bank Group, where he gained significant experience in Indonesia, Vietnam, Lao, Cambodia, Myanmar, Bangladesh and Timor Leste. Today, he has consulted for 2 central banks, 3 global banks, 4 technology companies, and 12 governments. He founded and launched new banks Cambodia and Lao. In Timor Leste, he wrote the Civil Service Act 2004. Currently he is an Independent Director of a large ASEAN bank. Dr Vong holds a PhD from the University of Bradford UK, a Certified Practice Accountant of Australia and undertaken professional development at MIT-Harvard University Consensus Building Institute.
