India Budget 2019

Enterprise Singapore, Dhruva Advisors, and the Singapore Business Federation are pleased to organise a seminar, “Update on the India Interim Budget 2019 and Recent Changes in the India Tax and Regulatory Landscape”.

On 1 February, Finance Minister of India, Mr. Arun Jaitley, will announce India’s Interim Budget 2019. This Budget will be the last by the present Modi government ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections in May. It is typically an interim one, although it appears that the Finance Ministry plans to present a full Budget this time, reworking an established precedent, and signaling its confidence about being re-elected.

India has retained its standing as the world’s fastest growing major economy despite global factors taking a toll. The World Bank has predicted GDP growth at 7.3 percent in 2018 – 19, spurred by increased consumption and investment, as well as gains after a temporary slowdown due to demonetization and the implementation of GST.

What will Interim Budget 2019 mean for Singapore companies looking at India?

We invite you to join us and hear from the experts.
