Overview
In conjunction with a visiting delegation from Armenia, the Singapore Business Federation (SBF) is pleased to organise a roundtable to update the Singapore business community on developments in Armenia, including Armenia government’s plans to build an engineering city, as well as elaborate on the investment opportunities in Armenia. The focus areas of the roundtable discussion would cover:
- Information and communication technologies, including AI
- Transport and infrastructure
- Water resources management, water supply and sanitation
- Tourism
- Education
- Healthcare
- Aviation
- Waste management
About Armenia
- Armenia’s economy has undergone a profound transformation since independence. Sustained growth, ambitious reforms, as well as inflows of capital and remittances have created a market-oriented environment.
- Its medium-term economic growth will approach 5% in 2019 according to the Eurasian Development Bank. Its economic growth was 5.2% in 2018 and 7.5% in the year earlier.
- The countries main economic sectors are agriculture and food processing, mining and quarrying, energy, information technology and telecommunications, chemical and pharmaceutical, as well as tourism.
