Why we plan for Digitally Twinned Smart Cities in the Philippines?
Cauayan City is the first Smarter City in the Philippines, and had led the movement towards Smarter and Sustainable cities for the Philippines, supported by the Philippines Department of Science and Technology. Cauayan City is one of the 3 cities in this pioneering Concept for ASEAN, together with Jakarta and Singapore. In this sharing, Mayor Bernard will explain how geospatial applications play an important Concept for Smart Cities in Philippines.

The Smart Indonesia Initiatives Association (SIIA) signed an MOU for Inclusive and Sustainable Cities with Smart Cities Network in September 2018 at the Bandung Command Centre. As a follow-up, Singapore company G Element and a local Indonesian start-up ("Indismart") collaborated in a project to develop the 3-D Model of the Bandung Command Centre, integrated to the existing CCTVs. Prof Suhono will share about this project and other potential collaboration with SIIA and his start-up community for more Smart Cities in Indonesia and ASEAN.

Geospatial Apps development for Jakarta Smart City. What’s next for Jakarta Smart City?
The Jakarta Smart City division, launched in 2014, has looking and developing technology solutions to improve city life and routine for citizens on a greater good. The division hosts incubation for start-ups to create applications for Smart City Jakarta. Mr Setiaji will share more on the use of Geospatial Apps to create application for Jakarta Smart City. In addition, he will also share on the project phrases that they are looking out for partnerships (from government services projects relating to mobility, public safety, education and transportation), need for security capabilities and programme that they are initiating that would provide mentorship to aspiring start-ups.
