Singapore Business Federation (SBF) together with the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia and Indonesia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) Singapore Committee are organizing an exclusive dialogue session on 8 November 2019 with H.E. Mr. Muhammad Rudi, Chairman of BP Batam cum Mayor of the City of Batam.

Indonesia under President Joko Widodo has prioritized the effectiveness of government (which is one of the six World Governance Indicator) as one of objectives in his administration. With the recent improvement of the governance in Batam in which the Chairman of BP Batam also serves as the Mayor of the City, the level of expectation and confidence amongst the investors have consequentially improved.

This exclusive dialogue session aims to allow Singapore investors to get an update on the new administration policies, plans and priorities for Batam. Participants will also be able to have a direct interaction with the Authorities in Batam and to seek assistance on the challenges they faced in Batam, if any.
