Budgeting is an efficient method for short-term planning and control. It is employed in large and small businesses extensively. Through budgeting, a business has clear visibility on its spending objectives during an accounting period and it is a versatile tool which has helped managers to cope with problems including inflation.

The objective of this module is to describe and illustrate some of the methods used in budgeting; highlighted by learning outcomes such as preparing components for a master budget and a flexible budget.

• Participants will only be admitted if payment/proof of payment has been received prior to the event or on the event day.
• You will still be liable for the payment in the event of no-show on the actual day of the event.
• Singapore Business Federation (SBF) reserves the right to cancel or make any adjustments to the event.
