You will learn about disabilities, the strengths of people in need or what it takes to create kindness culture in the workplace and others.
Overview
Connecting through Empathy
“Empathy” is increasingly referred to in today’s world as an important component for human interactions. But what is empathy, really?
This workshop looks at the principles behind this concept and what distinguishes empathy from other forms of care for others. We will discover why it is a fundamental part of successful relating, and what happens in its absence by exploring some common ways in which we relate to each other. Using empathy can bring about very different outcomes and to this end, we will look at how to language empathy as we put it into practice in our work or volunteer spaces when we reach out to our beneficiaries.
