 The administration under the leadership of President Joko Widodo has focused greatly on improving all parameters concerning ease of doing business by invoking the so-called Nawa Cita or nine mission statements.  In the last 3 years, Indonesia has improved in the Ease-of-doing-business ranking from rank   120 in 2014 to rank 72 in 2017.


As a part of government continuous improvement agenda,  Dr Lukita Dinarsyah Tuwo was appointed as the Chairman of Batam Indonesia Free Trade Zone Authority (BP Batam) in October 2017 to bring Batam to the next level of development. In his first 100 days, he would like to meet key Singapore companies and investors who have interests in Batam to share on his vision and developments in Batam as well as to obtain feedbacks from investors.

Participants in the Roundtable will be able to have a direct interaction with the New Chairman of BP Batam:

     -  Receive updates on the latest Batam developments
     -  Share their experiences and challenges on doing business in Batam
     -  Request for information – clarification and assistance on challenges faced in Batam
